Cornetto and Saw as well as Bontempi Organ are two duets which were written as a set to explore similar ideas about sampling. Both feature samples of acoustic instruments: in the first duet the samples of the cornetto are juxtaposed with samples of a saw wave, and the second duet focuses on samples from a bontempi air organ. In both cases, the two players layer the sampled instruments to create chords and textures. The appearance of acoustic instruments is then interrupted by the intrusion of electronic sound that disrupts the acoustic textures.
